Charlie represents his clients in complex civil litigation, business litigation, labor & employment litigation including individual and class actions, and legal malpractice actions. He enjoys helping clients solve the problems confronting them and achieving their objectives, whether that involves counselling them to avoid litigation or zealously representing them through trial and appeal.
Charlie also handles a variety of transactional matters, including consultation regarding labor and employment issues, executive employment agreements, wage and hour advice, wage and hour audits, and strategic advice regarding corporate transactions. He has helped design professionals negotiate services and licensing contracts, and advised professional athletes on sponsorship and licensing agreements.
Mr Hargraves is the author of “Final Wages: Better Late than Never, But Just Barely,” California Employment Law Letter (December 13, 2010) and “Better to be Lucky Than Good, Sometimes” (Mora v. Big Lots Stores) California Employment Law Letter (May 9, 2011) .
While at Pepperdine University School of Law, Mr. Hargraves received the American Jurisprudence Award in Contract Law and was awarded a Dean’s Merit Scholarship in each year of his law school career.
